At the August board meeting, members discussed football concessions for the upcoming season. Normally, we work on the home side of the field. This year, the board decided to help the visitor side concession stand and donate proceeds from funnel cake sales to the band. If someone asks, just say, we're with the band.

The theme for the parade this year is, "Christmas Cheers Throughout the Years." The parade is Saturday, December 14 at 6 PM.
KITCHEN OF CLAY COUNTY SPEAKS TO THE CLUB
Jennifer Knight, Kitchen of Clay County, spoke to the club on August 15th. She shared the story of her organization's history and her desire to expand to the Keystone Heights area. She is partnering with Mission of the Dirt Road to use their facilities to open a kitchen at the center. She is looking for organizations and churches who will provide a weekly meal every Saturday starting in September. She will be bringing food from Waste Not, Want Not so community members can take home food after eating a meal. Please contact Carey Morford with an interest in helping this new service.
