Pat Mundorff, Clay Electric Foundation, presented a check to the club in the amount of $6,000 at our meeting this week. The check represents funding for two projects, Terrific Kids and Camp BOOST. Isaac Moreford, assistant director of the Community Partnership School at KHHS, joined the presentation as Camp BOOST is one of their community outreach programs. We are thankful for the Foundation's support of our grant application.
KIWANIAN OF THE MONTH
President Tina S. announced the Kiwanian of the Month for October is Fred Goetzman. Fred has put together a Concession's trailer and - with help from membership - perfected the best funnel cake recipe. Funnel cakes (priced very reasonably) were made at football concessions, The Fall Festival at the Woman's Club and National Night Out. We plan to use the Concession trailer as part of our community outreach.
Congratulations, Fred. Your hard work is delicious.
