Coach Dickinson was invited by Tina B. to give us an update on The State of Athletics at KHHS. He, first, thanked our club for our participation and support of the athletic programs.
He shared with us that the school's track is being renovated and that a new fence is being installed around the track.
Some of the most prominent athletic achievements include girl's softball, who are a regional finalist.
Girl's basketball are district champions.
Golf are district champions.
Softball are regional finalists. (OH, so close to the state championship.)
Boy's weightlifting are State Champions in two divisions. [The City of Keystone Heights will recognize their achievements at our meeting in August.] He said their rings will be presented at a football game in the Fall, to be determined.
Caleb Moncrief was the Dairy Farmer All-Athletic team recipient. He earned a $1,700 scholarship, as well as a $4,600 award.
He said he bought 30 new folding chairs with the KHHS logo on them.
The club agreed to man consessions in 3 of the 5 home games.
KIWANIAN OF THE MONTH
Tina S. awarded Kiwanian of the Month to Pres. Patricia Hatch for leading the club and spending the energy it takes to run the club. Congratulations, Patricia.
KIWANIS PARADE FLOAT

Debbie Beals agreed to be the liaison with Keith Hatch as the back up.
