Kiwanian of the Month

President Tina S. announced that Mary Leigh Chandler is the April Kiwanian of the Month because of her leadership in organizing another very successful Easter Sunrise Service. The annual service is dedicated to raising funds for Lake Area Ministries and when all was said and done, Tina S. said we had helped raise over $6,000 for the food pantry.

Tina B. reminded the club of our long history supporting food insecurity over many years.

FRENCH FRIDAY

The club agreed to support Teacher Appreciation Week at KHHS on Friday, April 26th by providing breakfast items for 150 teachers. A sign-up sheet will be at the next meeting. There is a theme for every day of the week and our day is "France Friday". (Berets are optional)

Suggested items to donate are croissants, donuts, pastries, and mini quiches.

IMPORTANT MEETING DATES

There are a couple of meeting dates which we encourage all members to attend:

  • Thursday, April 18, we will be presenting the Clay County Education Foundation with a mini-grant check of $750 to toward teacher supplies for area schools.

  • Thursday, April 25, will be our annual meeting to elect a new slate of officers for the 2025-2026 board of directors. We also have a dynamic speaker lined up in Isaac Morford, director of the Community Partnership School.
