This month's Kiwanian of the Month is our Spiritual Aims director Mary Leigh Chandler. She does an amazing job with the Easter Sunrise Service. The event raised $3,500 for Lake Area Ministries. Congratulations to a well-earned recognition.
MINIATURE GOLF TOURNAMENT
This Saturday, May 6, at Keystone Heights Mini Golf Course we'll host our first mini-golf tournament. Please wear your yellow Kiwanis shirt and plan to be there at 9:30 AM. Registration begins at 10:30 AM. Fred and Hank will man the food tent. Other tasks have been assigned but there's plenty to do.
FIRST TUESDAY EVENING MEETING
The first meeting of the month was held at Keystone pavilion. It was well attended. There were three members from the University of Florida's Circle K club. There were 13 Key Club member plus their sponsor and a parent (driver) and seven Kiwanis members. Each club described the projects they each undertake each year. As a service project, Angel brought the 6th grade graduation ceremony programs which everyone folded for the elementary school.
BOARD DECISIONS
The Board voted to spend $200 in gift cards for Project Graduation. Club members are encouraged to donate gift cards ($20), as well, by next week's meeting on May 11th.
The Board also voted to separate the board meeting from a regular meeting (still open to all to attend). Starting June 1, the board will meet at Hatch Realty at 7:30 AM. Coffee will be available but no breakfast.
