Our next Thursday meeting (May 4th) will be dedicated to making sure we're ready for the tournament on Saturday, May 6th. Please plan to attend and please share the flyer that Jenn S. created for us.
K-KIDS ROCK THE DANCES
Shout out to our KHES K-Kids' sponsors: Dana Eatmon and Jenn Cumbus. They hosted both Mother-Son AND Daddy-Daughter dances to end the school year. The events are so well attended, they will be able to offer a K-Kids Scholarship at Senior Class Night on Thursday, May 11 at KHHS. Outstanding work, ladies. Can't wait to see who is selected in the first year of the scholarship.
DIVISION COUNCIL
Nine members attended the division council meeting. With travel involved, the event generated 36 volunteer hours for our April report.
EARTH DAY AT MISSION OF THE DIRT ROAD-HIGHRIDGE INITIATIVE
Four members served at Mission's "Earth Day" through the Highridge Initiative: Fred (plus Janice), Tina S., Patricia, and myself. Speaking for myself, I was covered in Black Kow from head to toe but beds were planted at the entry signs. The other four stayed clean. A good time was had by all. Thanks to all for your service. The project generated 16 hours of volunteer time for the club.
KIWANIS SCHOLARSHIP
The Scholarship Committee met today and selected two recipients for the 2023 Lake Region Kiwanis Scholarships. Tina S. will present them at Senior Class Night.
COMMUNITY BAND PLAYS AT THE SPRING FLING
Many thanks to all of the community band members who played at the City of Keystone Heights' "Spring Fling" last weekend. You may not rock, but you roll.
