There's a hodge-podge of information to share with you so in no particular order...
KIWANIAN OF THE MONTH
The Kiwanian of the Month is Tina Bullock. Congratulations Miss Tina on this recognition.
BRITNEY WELBORN, EXECUTIVE COORDINATOR, 153RD NATIONAL GUARD
Britney works to help support military soldiers and their families from across the state. She is requesting support from Kiwanis and Women's Club to provide desserts for their holiday party on Dec 4. Tina B has the sign up sheet. Desserts can be brought to our meeting Dec 1. She also needs gift baskets for raffle to support their kid's camp. Gifts can be brought to This & That Thrift Store on SR 100 in Keystone Heights. (Picture provided by Debbie Beals.)
HURRICAN IAN
Monja Slater with the Live Oak club put out a request to help with hurricane relief supplies to take to the Fort Myers club next week. The board approved a $100 donation from the project account and cash donations were collected, as well.
TRADING POST
The club will start making donations to the Trading Post at KHHS. Items can be brought to the 4th Thursday meeting or taken to the Beals' office anytime. No cup o' noodle soup - this has become a hazard from spillage of the hot water. Favorites are probably still Mountain Dew, Dr Pepper and Takis chips.
ANNUAL BANQUET
Kiwanian of the Year is Fred Goetzman. Congratulations Fred! Fred is celebrating by wearing a bright, pink lei somewhere in Hawaii. (Yes, real men wear pink, right dear?) The new slate of officers has been updated on the newsletter.
GOLF TOURNAMENT
Todd reports he has flyers and a sign-up list. Need raffle items/baskets from people willing to donate. Will assemble these items at the Nov. 3 meeting.
80th ANNIVERSARY OF THE KEYSTONE AIRPORT
President Tina S. will be working with the Starke club to sell hot dogs and sausage dogs. We will need volunteers. More information to come.
