The lull before a busy fall approaches

Time and attention is focusing in on a number of Fall projects for the club: Square Dancing, annual installation banquet, the commununity Fall Festival, football concessions and the golf tournament. Enjoy the lull before a storm of activity.

CCSO HOSTS AT-RISK CAMP AT KHES

The Beals and President Patricia reported the first at-risk camp hosted by Clay County Sheriff's deputies was a great success. Kiwanis sponsored a pizza lunch for 40 kids. Activities included a touch-a-truck day, movie day, and water day. Participants were selected through the 21 Century after-school population. Todd said deputies grew closer to the kids as a result of their experiences. He said it was heartwarming.

--> Meatloaf with mashed or baked potatoes

--> Chicken Cacciatore with rice or pasta

--> Beef and ricotta lasagne

--> Baked ziti with Italian sausage

--> Fettuccini Alfredo with blackened chicken, spinach and sundried tomatoes
